TOP MATCHES
We welcome all football fans with the resumption of football after quarantine!
If you aren’t up to date, we inform you that recently the Corner-stats.com team has significantly improved the Match Intervals filter on our website. This statistics analysis tool will be very useful if you bet on football during the match. Read more here
Today we will show the practical application of the Match Intervals filter and do it on the example of the team Stuttgart, which plays in the German Bundesliga 2 this season.
Recall that the Match Intervals filter can be found on the team page (link for Stuttgart). The filter allows you to display the team’s statistics at intervals when it was winning (including with a given goal difference), was losing (including with a given goal difference), was playing a draw, was playing with a red card of its player or opponent's player. In addition, intervals can be limited to the minute of the match from which to count them.
Corners
So, in the 2019/2020 season, Stuttgart has played 30 matches and has avg. total corners 10.23 and avg. difference on corners +1.5. At intervals, when the team was winning in a match, avg. total corners was much lower - 8.31, and the difference on corners was negative -1.9, and if you take the Stuttgart win with a difference of 2 goals or more, these numbers will decrease even more (7.88 total and -4.56 difference). But if Stuttgart loses in the match, the team delivers a lot more corners (11.54 avg. total and +4.56 avg. difference), when losing 2 goals or more - total 12.92, the difference is +6.18. It should also be noted that the team had very low total corners at intervals, when a sent-off in its squad happened - only 6.04.
Goals
If we talk about the goals of Stuttgart at different intervals of the match, then the Corner-stats.com team found a significant increase in the total when the team was winning 2 goals or more or was losing 2 goals or more (4.06 compared to the common average total of 2.83). Also, the total goals increases significantly when Stuttgart gets a red card (4.03).
Cards
Stuttgart has quite a usual situation with cards: if there is a draw in a match, teams have fewer cards, if any team wins, there are more cards. It is worth noting a significant decrease in the total number of cards if Stuttgart wins 2 goals or more (3.31 compared to the common total of 4.63) and a significant increase in the total if Stuttgart loses 2 goals or more (7.87). Teams also get a lot of cards if the opponent got a red card (7.86).
Throw-ins
Stuttgart leads on throw-ins this season in Bundesliga 2 (18 wins, 2 draws, 7 defeats on throw-ins) with avg. total 46.07 and avg. margin of +3.33. Moreover, if Stuttgart wins or draws, the total throw-ins is slightly higher (47.54), and the difference is lower (+1.18), and if Stuttgart loses, the total throw-ins is much lower (41.01), and the difference is much larger in favor of Stuttgart (+8.67). If a red card occurs in a team, the total throw-ins will drop significantly (37.58).
We hope that with this example it will be easier for you to understand the principle of the Match intervals filter and you will be able to benefit from it. Follow other announcements on our website, as well as subscribe to social networks so as not to miss the latest materials!
